From 25th to 29th June, the event of European Graphene2024 Conference with series of activities have been successfully held in Madrid, Spain. The delegation of Beijing Advanced Materials Industry Promotion Association(BAMIPA) has participated this event.

Attend the conference: Promote and introduce China's graphene technology and industrial achievements.

The conference attracted thousands of representatives from universities, research institutions, and industrial enterprises from around the world to participate in activities such as product displays, poster exhibitions, industry forums, and special seminars, to share the latest developments in graphene and two-dimensional materials technology as well as international cooperation opportunities on a global scale. The new graphene products brought by the Beijing Advanced Materials Industry Promotion Association received unanimous recognition from many experts and international colleagues at the exhibition. The delegation actively promoted China's achievements and industrialization results in the field of graphene to global colleagues through various forms. Member companies of the association, including Beijing Aika Technology, CHN-RUN Super Lube, Henan Rayhope, and Hebei Zhengsheng, actively participated in the exhibition and achieved fruitful results.

At the conference, Dr. Zhang Lisheng, the Vice Secretary-General of the Beijing Advanced Materials Industry Promotion Association and the founder of DT New Materials, one of the initiators of the International Carbon Materials Union (ICMU), delivered a keynote speech titled "The Development of the Graphene Industry in China." Through detailed data, in-depth analysis, and a forward-looking perspective, he introduced China's latest achievements and technological innovations in the field of graphene. In recent years, China's accomplishments in the graphene field have received widespread praise and deep resonance from experts, scholars, and industry colleagues attending the conference.

The establishment of the ICMU Spain Liaison Office is one of the important achievements of the preparatory work of the European branch of the International Carbon Materials Union. Europe has the world's largest number of top experts and research teams in the field of graphene, and ICMU will take this as a fulcrum to further strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between Europe and China in technological innovation, talent training, industrial application, etc., and jointly promote the vigorous development of the global carbon materials industry.

Visit and exchange: jointly explore new opportunities for China-EU technology and industrial cooperation

On June 27, the delegation first visited ACCIONA, the largest international green energy group based in Madrid, and discussed with Antonio Ferreiro, head of the group's procurement department, the cooperation opportunities between ACCIONA and China in the fields of photovoltaic, wind power and hydrogen energy. The two sides reached a consensus on cooperation in the new energy field and procurement business in the Chinese market, and will subsequently set up a special agency to carry out specific business.

Afterwards, the delegation visited BeAble Capital, a well-known new technology investment company in Spain. As an investment institution focusing on technology transfer, BeAble Capital's funds come from the Spanish government, the European Union and private capital. They select the outstanding industrialization technologies of Spanish universities and research institutions through a professional talent team and make early investments, aiming to promote the smooth transformation of university scientific research results into market applications and accelerate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. The delegation had a detailed exchange with Alberto Diaz, a senior partner of the investment company, on technology transfer cooperation in the fields of new materials, medicine, aerospace, etc., and exchanged views on the feasibility of the development of Spanish advanced technology in China and a new model of mutual benefit and win-win. It is believed that the cooperation between the two sides will inject new vitality and impetus into China's industrial upgrading and economic development.

Conclusion: In the field of new materials, international cooperation has a bright future

The successful holding of this visit to Spain has enhanced mutual trust between the Beijing Advanced Materials Industry Promotion Association and its key member companies and global upstream and downstream partners, and created more cooperation opportunities among members; It has determined the action plan for the establishment and subsequent operation of the European branch of the International Carbon Materials Union (ICMU); it has opened a door to the European market for domestic new energy companies; the expert consultants of the International Carbon Materials Union will also provide consulting and technical support to the union members; in terms of international cooperation such as the introduction of new material technology and the export of products, the delegation members have seen more development opportunities, and under the current international situation, it is expected to open a new model and a new chapter in China-Europe cooperation.

Looking to the future, Beijing Advanced Materials Industry Promotion Association will stand at a new starting point to open up more international thinking and a broader international market for the development of new materials industry in Beijing and even China. We will continue to uphold the principles of open cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win, continue to expand the global circle of friends in technology, industry and finance, work together to write a new chapter in the field of global new materials technology, and contribute wisdom and strength to promote industrial development.
